Hold on, lemme stop there. Hah. Me have kids. That’s a delightful bundle of “oh hell no”. But if for some reason I did have to haul a bunch of people this is probably my first choice of vehicle.
Mmmmm.
It has the name of the car embroidered on the doors.
So delightfully 2000s.
Swank. That’s several cows right there.

We’re progressing in the right direction...

Nobody wants kids, and then, suddenly, you do.
I don’t want them, but I know it’s inevitable that I will. It’ll happen to you, too.

If I do get kids, I’ll prolly get them CPO.
Ya know, like a 2017/2018 model (I’m 25 so it will be a while before I get one) - certified cute and healthy and past the first few “break-in” years (years of crying, potty training and hopefully well behaved). Could even get a foreign model.....

I kind of would like to have miniature versions of me that I could teach to hate the same things I hate. I go back and forth on that, though, they’re really expensive and a lot of work.
I already do own a good family car though. Seats six, big trunk, and none of those deadly Takata air bags.

The best vehicle for kids is obviously the Honda Odyssey with the built-in vacuum.
That little bastard with the blonde hair looks thrilled .

My wife and I didn’t want kids for the 1st 8 years of our relationship. We eventually grew into the thought of having kids and now have a 5 and 3 year old. And I have to say that being a parent is the best, most challenging thing I have done. Its so worth it.
And you don’t need something that big. I drive my wife and kids around in an RX-8.

I pretty much plan on buying a Flex the day after my wife says “honey I’ve got some big news.” Hopefully an Ecoboost. It has to be a Titanium with the black roof.

The RX-8 is the best “four door coupe”

Such a good looking ride. Such expensive, sadly.

If the auto trans wasn’t so garbage you bet your ass I would buy one of these, lower it, and probably add boost. Because RACEVAN.

That’s what I wanted but the wife didn’t like the looks. She also didn’t like the looks of my sx4.
We tried the pathfinder and I was expecting to hate it.

I had a Suburban with the air ride suspension, it was awesome. We went camping with two kids and a canoe and the back wasn’t even full-including fire wood! 17-18 mpg no mater what. The only bummer was the running boards were pretty low so it wasn’t going to be winning any off-road contests. It off-roaded pretty good for what it was.

My current ride will fit spawns. My hopefully future ride will also fit at least a spawn, but I too don’t really want kids. I don’t like kids. At all. I like peace and quiet.

Now is the time - almost $15k discounts on 2015s at some places. Was very tempted by a white one with twin turbo engine, but it was still $10k too much.

But that one doesn’t have a vacuum.

Yeah I looked at the turbo Flex last time I was car shopping thinking the combo of box shape and Ford would mean a 2-3 year old one would be cheap but not even close.

What’s really amazing how much better the ride is on the XL than the standard wheelbase. Seriously if you ever do find yourself in the market for a Yukon spend the extra few bucks and get the XL.

Couple of coat hangars have done their jobs already and kept me free from 3 rows of seats.

That’s right, Jeremy, vacuum your own damn cheerios out of the seats.
I have a hard time understanding why people give their kids free reign to destroy their cars and homes. I get it that its pretty natural for children to do so, but my folks always made me get my stuff out of the car, and I had to clean up my toys when I was done playing.

No, it definitely isn’t, but it’s the most likely thing.

It’s a very personal decision, and IMO should be treated as such, instead of an inevitability.

I suppose you’re right.
Still, the main point I was trying to make is that the vast majority of parents were, at one point, certain that they would never have kids.
I could have worded that better.

My father in law has this exact vehicle. Actually he had one, put 260k+ on it, then got another identical one with fewer miles. The irony is, he didn’t have it until his daugther (my wife) was in college, no kids at home. And I owned a black one, but sold it before I had kids. It’s a matter of time before I have another one (some suburban variation, at least)

Love em so much, i’ve decided to keep the Milan though.
Wanted to get one with a license plate that read “DAD BUS” Yes it’s available.
